Tribute 4WD L4-2.3L Hybrid (2008)
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. See See: Maintenance/Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair/Lifting.
2. Release the fuel pressure. See See: Cylinder Head Assembly/Fuel Pressure Release/Service and Repair.
3. Disable the vehicle high voltage electrical system. See - HIGH-VOLTAGE TRACTION BATTERY SYSTEMS DEPOWERING HYBRID.
CAUTION: Before removing the high voltage cables, the vehicle electrical system must be shut down for at least 5 minutes to allow for the high voltage
capacitors to discharge.
4. Remove the fuel rail. See - See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Rail/Service and Repair.
5. Remove the throttle body. See - See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Throttle Body/Service and Repair.
6. Remove the accessory drive belt tensioner. See - See: Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories/Drive Belt Tensioner/Service and Repair.
7. Remove the oil level indicator and tube. See - See: Engine Lubrication/Engine Oil Dip Stick - Dip Stick Tube/Service and Repair.
8. Disconnect the engine oil pressure (EOP) switch electrical connector.
9. Disconnect the temperature manifold absolute pressure (TMAP) sensor electrical connector.
