PINPOINT TEST 4: THE COURTESY LAMPS DO NOT TURN ON WITH ONE DOOR OPEN

Normal Operation

When any door is opened, the ajar switch opens the circuit to the smart junction box (SJB). The SJB monitors the ajar circuits, and based on the ajar
status, the SJB supplies voltage to the courtesy lamps on circuit (GY/V). 

Possible Causes

-

Wiring, terminals or connectors

-

Door ajar switch (part of door latch)

SJB

Diagnostic Procedure

CAUTION: Use the correct probe adapter(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.

NOTE: Make sure the dimmer switch is not in the DEFEAT position before continuing diagnostics.

NOTE: Make sure the interior lamp switches are in the DOOR position.
