5. Remove and discard the cam nut.

6. Remove the wheel knuckle.

Installation

All vehicles

1. Position the wheel knuckle and install a new wheel knuckle bolt and cam nut.

CAUTION: The joint area must be free of foreign material to make sure of correct clamping.

NOTE: The joint surfaces and the bushing sleeve serrations must be clean before assembly. Clean the joint surfaces and the bushing sleeve serrations
with a wire brush.

NOTE: Align the notch on the cam nut with the index marks. 

2. Using a suitable tool, hold the cam nut stationary while tightening the wheel knuckle bolt.

-

Tighten to 150 Nm {15.3 kgf-m, 111 ft-lbf}.

3. Position the lower ball joint into the wheel knuckle and install the lower ball joint nut.

Tighten to 63 Nm {6.3 kgf-m, 46 ft-lbf}.

4. Install the coil spring. See - See: Suspension Spring ( Coil / Leaf )/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Spring Removal/Installation.

Vehicles with ABS

1. Position the ABS wheel speed sensor harness and the sensor.

2. Install the ABS wheel speed sensor bolt and the 2 ABS wheel speed sensor harness bolts.

Tighten to 9 Nm {0.9 kgf-m, 80 in-lbf}.

All vehicles

1. Install the parking brake shoes. See  See: Brakes and Traction Control/Parking Brake System/Parking Brake Shoe/Service and Repair.

AWD vehicles

1. Using a suitable halfshaft installation tool, install the halfshaft.

2. Install the new front wheel hub nut.
