Evaporative Check Valve: Service and Repair

FUEL VAPOR VENT VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - HYBRID

1. Remove the evaporative emissions (EVAP) canister assembly. See  See: Evaporative Emission Control Canister/Service and Repair.

2. Disconnect the fuel vapor vent valve electrical connector.

3. Disconnect the fuel vapor tube assembly-to-fuel vapor vent valve quick connect coupling. See - See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Line

Coupler/Service and Repair/Quick Release Coupling - Double Locking.

4. Depress the tab and remove the fuel vapor vent valve from the EVAP canister bracket.

5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Carry out the evaporative emissions system leak test. See  See: Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and General Diagnostics.
