Aspirator Blower for In-Car Temperature Sensor. Model 126 with Sliding Roof

Since mid-July 1984 production, an aspirator blower (31) is installed in 126 models with the sliding roof option. The aspirator blower ventilates the
in-car temperature sensor, allowing the climate control system to maintain constant temperatures even with the sliding roof open (Figure 2).

The aspirator blower is connected to fuse no. 10 (circuit 15) and to ground with a separate wiring harness and is switched on by the ignition.

In case of complaints for minor noise, insert a felt or foam shim (5 mm thick) under the blower (arrow) and only lightly tighten mounting screws (Figure
2). For louder noises, replace the aspirator blower.
