Fabricate a wiring harness according to the diagram, observe that the respective wires are attached to connector positions 1 and 2 with connector
as shown.

Guide wiring harness through hole in trunk lid and then between trunk lid and reinforcement frame to ground connection (right rear wheelhousing,
in trunk), and to right tail lamp. Secure as needed with cable straps.

Connect ground wire to ground.

11.

Remove and open right tail lamp connector.

12.

Solder wire (black/red) from wiring harness to socket 5.

13.

Close connector and attach to tail lamp.

14.

Unscrew four mounting studs from the base of third, high-mounted stop lamp housing and push the reflector out of the housing.

15.

Paint the housing to match the vehicle exterior.

CAUTION!

Do not overheat housing during oven drying (80°C limit).

Reassemble stop lamp unit making sure that the rubber gasket is correctly in place around the reflector and the lens before inserting into the
housing.

CAUTION! 

Do not overtighten the four mounting studs into the reflector.

17.

Place rubber gasket between stop lamp base and trunk lid.

18.

Secure stop lamp to trunk lid and attach wiring harness to stop lamp.

19.

Connect negative battery terminal.

20.

Test function of third, high-mounted stop lamp.

21.

Install steel partition and right side trunk panel.
