3-Lug Spring Compressor

A new 3-lug spring compressor is available (Figure 1). The compressor is supplied complete with compression plates for all applications.

The upper compression plate of the 3-lug spring compressor is provided with a safety catch to prevent in- correct use of the compressor. To compress the
spring, the 3 lugs on the compressor must be engaged in the compression plate, otherwise the compressor will slip out of the compression plate.

Note:

Existing 2-lug compression plates compression plates cannot be used with the 3-lug compressor.

Markings for Correct Engagement of 2-Lug Spring Compressor

When using the previous 2-lug spring compressor which does not have a safety catch, correct engagement of the compressor into the upper compression
plate must be assured.
