Removing And Installing Sliding/Pop-up Roof Cover

Removing

DANGER:

-

Risk of injury to fingers being jammed or squeezed when removing and installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/tailgate and sliding
roof.

-

When moving components ensure that no body parts or limbs are in the area of movement.

Remove rubber bellows from sliding/pop-up roof cover(6)

Move sliding/pop-up roof to pop-up position

Unscrew Torx screws (2), (3) and (4) from sliding/pop-up roof

Unscrew Torx screws (5) from outer support

CAUTION:  Only when replacing sliding/pop-up roof cover (6). Left and right side.

5.1 Lift sliding/pop-up roof cover (6) at front and move out of cover carrier (9)
5.2 Remove sliding/pop-up roof cover (6)

NOTE:  Only when replacing sliding/pop-up roof cover (6).

Installation

Lower pop-up mechanism

CAUTION:  Ensure that cover earner (9) is seated correctly on left and right.

7.1 Insert sliding/pop-up roof cover (6) into cover carrier (9) from front.

CAUTION:  Ensure that sheet metal lug (7) is seated properly.Left and right side

7.2 Position sliding/pop-up roof cover (6)

NOTE:  Only when replacing sliding/pop-up roof cover(6)

Screw in Torx screws (2) on front sliding/pop-up roof

CAUTION:  Replace screws
