Component Identification
Location
The Digital Audio Broadcasting control unit is located in the trunk under the trunk mat on the crossmember (model 204.0) or centrally on the equipment
bridge in front of the spare tire well (model 204.2).
Task
The Digital Audio Broadcasting (Digital Radio) (DAB) signals received by the multifunction antenna (A28/11) or TV and DAB Band III antenna
(A94/1) are forwarded to the Digital Audio Broadcasting control unit, processed and transmitted digitally over Media Oriented System Transport
(MOST) to the sound system amplifier control unit (N40/3).
The Digital Audio Broadcasting control unit thus receives in 2 different frequency ranges:

L-band signals, which are received over the multifunction antenna, usually originate from conurbation stations
^
Band III signals are received via the TV and DAB Band III antenna and usually originate from national stations
