A/C - 'Auto' Mode Won't Turn Off When Pressing Button

"AC Auto Mode" Does Not Switch Off by Pressing the "Auto" Mode Button

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles concerning the AC push button unit not switching into manual mode by depressing the AC
auto mode button a second time, this is normal functionality of the push button unit. The function was intentionally implemented as of Model Year 2008.
This is not a failure of the push button unit, it is working as designed.

If the customer wants to have the logic changed, this can be done with SDS by following the path: Control Units -> Air conditioning -> ACC -> read
coding and change if necessary -> This settings should only be changed if requested by customer -> Exiting automatic mode by actuating "Auto" button
again. Default setting is "No". By changing to "Yes", the automatic function will turn off when the "Auto" button is pressed again.

Since this is a customer request and not a fault, this procedure is not covered under warranty.
