6. Install right longitudinal member reinforcement (3) into crossmember (1) and fasten finger-tight using two bolts M12 x 1.5 x 35(13).
The bolts M12 x 1.5 x 35 (13) may only be tightened to the specified torque after aligning the trailer hitch. The left longitudinal member
reinforcement (3) is marked by a sticker.
7. Push the seal (4) as per the picture, with the lug (9) to the right, onto the left longitudinal member reinforcement (3).
The lug (9) is identified by an arrow and "TOP".
The transport lock (10) between the trailer hitch crossmember (1) and the swivel ball neck must not be removed. Otherwise the system locks and
cannot be unlocked.
The ball neck snaps into its two end positions and can only be operated using the cable at the release lever.
8. Push the crossmember (1) with longitudinal member reinforcements (2, 3) into the vehicle longitudinal member and then guide the cable (14) and
the wiring harness for the end position switch (16) through the hole and seal with grommet (11).
