CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND DTC CODE P0442 SET

If the complaint: "Check Engine Light Illuminated" with DTC code P0442 is received, a check of the Fuel Evaporation System must first be made
(Figure 1) (Model 129 shown).

In addition to the repair procedure noted below, please also follow the test repair instructions as outlined in the service literature below:

For Models 170 and 210 with engines 112, 113:

Diagnostic Manual, Engines, Volume 4, Section 9.3 (engine 112) and 9.4 (engine 113).

For Models 215 and 220 with engines 112, 113:
