GF83.10-P-2179-01R Air Flap Actuator Motor, Center Nozzle, Function

- with CODE (581) Automatic air conditioning

Function

Depending upon the desired air outlet temperature at the center nozzle, the actuator motors for the air flap, left and right center nozzles (M16/23) and
(M16/24) are controlled via the A/C databus.

Control ensues using the AAC pushbutton control module (N22)
Defrost function

Center nozzle air flap closed
REST function

Center nozzle air flap closed
System switched off

Center nozzle air flaps remain in the previously applied setting

Automatic air-flap control for the center nozzles (AUTO button retracted, tip switches for warm and cold not pressed)

The center nozzle air flaps are opened by a minimum of 12 %. Depending upon the following variables, the air flaps are opened by the center nozzle
actuator motors linearly up to 100 %.

Air flap control via the center nozzle

In manual mode the air flap settings are determined by the selector on the center nozzle.

NOTE:

All actuators are identical.

The assignment to the flap to be actuated and job description of actuator takes place via a wiring harness coupling.

If a problem exists, it is possible to retrieve and verify the defined end positions by means of the diagnosis system STAR DIAGNOSIS (valuation trip).
An adjustment run must be performed after replacing a positioning motor, in other words the end positions flap OPEN and SHUT are defined and
retained.
