Raise vehicle until wheel and tire clear floor.
2.
Remove wheel cover and dust cap from hub.
3.
Remove cotter pin and locknut.
4.
Loosen adjusting nut 3 turns, then rock wheel, hub and rotor assembly in and out several times to move shoe and linings away from rotor.
5.
While rotating wheel assembly, torque the adjusting nut to 17---25 ft. lbs. to seat the bearings.
6.
Back off the adjusting nut one half turn. Retighten the nut to 10---15 in. lbs. with a torque wrench or finger tight.
7.
Locate the nut lock on the adjusting nut so the castellations on the lock are aligned with the cotter pin hole in the spindle.
8.
Install new cotter pin and replace dust cap and wheel cover.
