Disconnect the left-hand halfshaft.
CAUTION: To avoid damage to the CV joints and boots, do not bend the inner CV joint by more than 18 degrees, the outer CV joint by
not more than 45 degrees.
11. NOTE: Oil escapes. Close off the transaxle opening with blanking plugs.
Disconnect the halfshaft (vehicle with MTX-75 manual transaxle shown).
Installation

Install a new snap-ring.
CAUTION: To avoid damage to the CV joints and boots, do not bend the inner CV joint by more than 18 degrees, the outer CV joint by
not more than 45 degrees.
2. NOTE: Do not damage the oil seal. Check that the snap-ring engages correctly.
