About the Sable
The Sable (1986–2009), named after the Russian weasel, was the counterpart of the Ford Taurus throughout, built alongside it at Atlanta and Chicago. Over 2.1 million were built. It was dropped after 2005 and revived for 2008 as a full-size car.
