Seat Latch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL 

1. Remove front seat cushion side shield and disconnect electrical connectors and vacuum lines to seat regulator control switch and seat control

switch.

NOTE:  Service of the front seat back latch components is not acceptable and should not be attempted. The front seat back latch must be replaced
as a unit.

2. Remove screws retaining front seat back latch to front seat track.
3. Remove seat back panel from rear of front seat back by pushing down and pulling out at the top of the panel to disengage retaining clips.
4. Release the outboard seat back cover retainer. Pull back a small portion of front seat back cover to expose two screws retaining front seat back

latch to front seat back frame.

5. Remove bolts retaining the front seat back latch to front seat back frame.
