Fuel Gauge Sender: Testing and Inspection
With Analog Instrument Cluster
1. Remove the fuel pump assembly.

2. Measure the resistance between terminal 3 (+) and terminal 4 (-) of the fuel pump assembly while adjusting the fuel tank float to the following
positions:
3. Gradually change the float position and monitor the resistance for discontinuities. If there are discontinuities, replace the fuel level sensor.
4. If the resistances are not as specified, replace the fuel level sensor. If the fuel level sensor is OK, return to the Pinpoint Tests. See: Instrument
