WARNING!

HEN LIFTING A PLASTIC-COATED BATTERY, EXCESSIVE PRESSURE ON END WALLS COULD CAUSE ACID TO SPEW THROUGH
THE VENT CAPS, RESULTING IN PERSONAL INJURY, DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE OR BATTERY. LIFT WITH A BATTERY
CARRIER OR WITH YOUR HANDS ON OPPOSITE CORNERS.

1.

Install memory saver, then disconnect both negative and positive cables from the battery.

2.

Remove the battery cover.

3.

Remove the battery hold down bolt and remove the battery from the vehicle.

4.

Disconnect the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor electrical connector. Refer to Figure 2.

5.

Loosen air tube clamp at MAF Sensor. Refer to Figure 2.

6.

Disengage three (3) cover clamps and remove the air cleaner assembly cover. See Figure 2.

7.

Remove the air cleaner assembly body (three bolts) and filter.
