3. Use the Clutch Spring Compressor T65L-77515-A to compress the reverse clutch return spring and remove the snap ring from the reverse clutch
drum. Discard the snap ring.
CAUTION: Do not expand the snap ring farther than necessary, or damage will occur.
NOTE: Align the spring compressor directly over the reverse clutch spring retainer.
4. Remove the clutch spring compressor, the reverse clutch spring retainer, and the return spring.
5. Remove the reverse clutch piston from the reverse clutch drum by turning the reverse clutch piston.
6. Remove and discard the reverse clutch D-ring and the reverse clutch oil seal from the reverse clutch piston.
7. Check for deformation, fatigue, and damage. Replace if necessary.
8. Check the facing of the reverse clutch internal spline clutch plates for burns, cracks, and damage.
