About MG
MG began in Oxford in the 1920s as Morris Garages, the sales and service business of William Morris, and became known for affordable two-seater sports cars such as the MGA and MGB. From the 1990s the marque belonged to the Rover Group and then to MG Rover, based at Longbridge.
The MG TF (2002-2005) was the successor to the MGF: a mid-engined two-seater roadster with the K Series 1.6 and 1.8 litre engines, including the 1.8 VVC, and a manual gearbox or the Stepspeed (Em-CVT) automatic. The manual here is MG Rover publication RCL0493ENG.
