Throttle Cable/Linkage: Adjustments

(1) Check the accelerator cable for sharp bends.

(2) Check to ensure that the throttle lever is in contact with the engine speed adjusting screw.
(3) Check to ensure that the inner cable play is within the standard limits.

Standard value:
<M/T> 1 - 2 mm (0.04 - 0.08 in.) 
<A/T> 3 - 5 mm (0.12 - 0.20 in.)

(4) If the play is out of the standard limits, loosen the adjusting bolts, slide the plate so that the inner cable play will fall within the standard limits

and then retighten the adjusting bolts.
