Transmission Position Switch/Sensor: Adjustments
PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH AND CONTROL CABLE ADJUSTMENT
1. Place selector lever in "N" (Neutral) position.
2. Loosen transaxle control cable to manual control coupling adjusting nut to set cable and lever free.
3. Place manual control lever in "N" (Neutral) position.
4. For adjustment, loosen the park/neutral position switch body mounting bolt, and turn park/neutral position switch body so that the end (section
A-A in illustration on left) of manual control lever is aligned with the hole in park/neutral position switch body flange.
5. Tighten the mounting bolts of the park/neutral position switch body to the specified torque. Be careful at this time that the position of the switch
body is not changed.
Tightening torque: 10-12 Nm (7-9 ft. lbs.)
6. Lightly pull the transaxle control cable in the arrow direction, and tighten the adjusting nut to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 13 Nm (9 ft. lbs.)
7. Check that the selector lever is in "N" position.
8. Check that it securely operates and functions on the transaxle side in the range which corresponds to each position of the selector lever.
