CARGO COVER RATTLE OR LOOSENESS
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Some 1991-93 3000GTs may exhibit a cargo cover rattle and/or looseness. This condition can be caused by insufficient holding ability of the cargo
cover retaining clips. These clips are located on each corner of the cargo cover, above the rear strut towers.
To correct this condition, replace both cargo cover retaining clips with the new clip described in this bulletin.
VEHICLES AFFECTED
All 3000GTs built through 11/10/93 may be affected. Vehicles built after 11/10/93 are not affected, since they are already equipped with the new cargo
cover retaining clips.
DESCRIPTION
The new cargo cover retaining clip is 2 mm narrower than the old clip. In addition, for extra holding ability, the new clip has a side retainer. When the
cargo cover rattle/looseness is discovered, replace both left and right retaining clips.
PARTS INFORMATION
The new cargo cover retaining clips will be available through your facing PDC beginning the week of April 4, 1994. No orders can be accepted until that
time.
Two clips per vehicle are needed. The part number is MR189594.
