REPAIR PROCEDURES

A.

Remove the air distribution grille by disengaging the hinge pins of the grille from the duct wall by prying the duct wall away from the grille and at
the same time pulling on the grille. Once the hinge pins have been disengaged, the grille can be tilted and pulled from the duct.

Remove the damper door:

Move the control lever to the vent position and disengage the damper door hinge and actuating pins by prying the duct walls away from the hinge
pins. Tilt the damper door and remove it from the duct.

NOTE:

To prevent damage to the hinges or actuating pins, avoid excessive force. The damper door is not available as an individual replacement part,
and therefore, in case of breakage, the air outlet assembly must be replaced. MB 187729 Air Outlet L.H. MB 187731 Air Outlet R.H.

C.

Re-install the damper door:

Turn the damper door to the correct position and install by snapping the hinge pins back into place. At the same time make sure that the actuating
pin which engages into the operating lever is placed properly into the slot of the operating lever (see illustration). Check damper door for proper
operation.
