A noisy or chattering speedometer or speedometer cable on 1983 Mitsubishi vehicles may be caused by improper routing of the speedometer cable or
lack of lubrication at the speedometer cable end.
This bulletin indicates critical locations to check for proper routing as applicable to the various models.
Cordia/Tredia
Ensure that the speedometer cable is routed as shown in the illustration and that the curvature at the locations indicated by the arrows has a radius of 150
mm (6") or greater.
