1.
Disconnect battery ground cable and drain cooling system.
2.
On models with power steering, remove power steering pump and bracket leaving hoses connected, and secure pump aside.
3.
Remove timing belt as outlined in ``Timing Belt, Replace.''
4.
Remove alternator brace and disconnect hoses from water pump.
5.
Remove water pump bolts, water pump, gasket and O-ring.
6.
Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a.
Use a new water pump gasket (17) and water pipe O-ring (18).
b.
Adjust belts to specifications.
c.
Fill cooling system.
d.
Connect battery ground cable.
