Locate the clip closest to the center of the strip, press firmly on the outer edge moving the trim toward glass. Insert the putty knife under the inside
of the trim, just to one side of the clip, and lift upward at the same time.
NOTE:
DO NOT USE EXCESSIVE FORCE.
3.
After center clip is released, release the rest; one at a time, by working your way outwards.
4.
Remove strip from the (2) corner couplers.
INSTALLATION:
1.
Insert the strip into both couplers.
2.
Start with center clip press inwards from outer edge and push down on inside edge.
3.
Work your way from center to outer ends.
LOUVER INSTALLATION:
1.
Remove the top piece of window trim as described in Window Trim Removal.
2.
Loosely assemble the top brackets to the hinges at the top of the louver assy., using the (4) Hex nuts and (4) Washers provided. (See Illus. 2).
3.
Trim the excess window sealer in bracket areas with putty knife, so surface is flush.
4.
Set the louver assy. with top brackets on the car so that the brackets hook over top edge of the deck lid. (See Illus. 3).
5.
Align the louver assy. by using the side trim for reference, 6. With the louver assy. properly aligned, remove the tape liner from one side and press
firmly for (30) seconds, then repeat for other side.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: CORDIA
NOTE:
ONCE CONTACT IS MADE WITH TAPE, ADJUSTMENT IS NOT RECOMMENDED.

With brackets firmly in place remove the (4) Hex nuts and (4) Washers, and gently lift the louver assy. from brackets.
8.
Raise the rear deck lid and remove the (2) pcs. of side window trim as described in Window Trim Removal.
9.
Trim the excess window sealer in bracket areas with the putty knife so surface is flat. It also may be necessary to trim excess from under the
bottom trim to insure a flush fit for the bracket.
10.
Slide the lower brackets approx. 1/2 inch under the lower strip of trim and push inwards so sides are flush against side of deck lid. (See Illus. 4).
11.
Install louver assy. on top brackets. with (4) Hex nuts and (4) Washers.
12.
Check alignment and tighten nuts.
13.
Lower the louver assy. and release the latch pins so they go through the bracket loops. (See Illus. 5).
14.
Check that both brackets are firmly flush up against the side of the deck lid.
15.
With brackets in position carefully draw the latch pins into the back position and raise the louver without disturbing bracket position.
16.
Lower the support arms provided on the louver assy.
17.
Carefully peel the tape liner off and press firmly on the bracket for (30) seconds. Repeat for the other side.
18.
Re-install trim as described in window trim installation.
FOR CARS EQUIPPED WITH REAR WINDOW WIPER AND WASH NOZZLE ONLY.
1.
With louver assy. fastened, turn rear wiper on. Check that wiper does not come in contact with left latch.
2.
If it does, remove cover on wiper assy. located at the bottom end.
