Throttle Position Sensor: Adjustments
Throttle Position Sensor
1.
Disconnect the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) connector.
Throttle Position Sensor Test

Connect an ohmmeter between terminals # 3 (closed throttle position switch) and # 4 Sensor ground), using lead wires with alligator clips.
Throttle Lever Adjustment

Insert a 0.65 mm (0.0256 in.) feeler gauge between the Fixed SAS and the throttle lever.
Throttle Position Sensor Adjustment

Loosen the TPS mounting bolts, then turn the TPS counterclockwise completely.
- Continuity should exist at this time.
5.
Slowly turn the TPS in a clockwise direction until continuity is broken.
