1.
Disarm airbag as outlined under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG SYSTEM DISARMING.
2.
Remove steering wheel as outlined under STEERING WHEEL.
3.
Removing upper and lower steering column covers.
4.
Remove knee protector.
5.
Remove column switch as outlined under COLUMN SWITCH.
6.
Remove ignition key illumination ring.
7.
Insert ignition key into ignition lock cylinder and turn to ACC position.
8.
Press lock cylinder lockpin down, Fig. 3, and remove lock cylinder.
9.
Remove key reminder switch segment.
10.
Disconnect then remove ignition switch assembly.
11.
Reverse procedure to install, ensuring proper operation of airbag as outlined under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG SYSTEM
DISARMING.
