Procedure # 3: Replacing the EPS (Electronic Power Steering) ECU (Diamante LS)

1.

The EPS ECU is located behind the vehicle's center console. To gain access, remove the ashtray, floor console, audio panel, and radio/tape/CD
player.

2.

Disconnect the ECU wiring harness, and remove the ECU.

3.

Install the new ECU.

4.

Reinstall the radio/tape/CD player, audio panel, floor console, and ashtray.

Procedure # 4

Procedure # 4: Replacing the NPS (Normal Power Steering) Oil Pump Connector Valve (Base Diamante)

1.

Remove the nut, washer, and pressure hose from the power steering pump.

2.

Remove the connector valve and O-rings from the pump.

3.

Install the new connector valve and new 0-rings. Tighten the new connector valve 60 N-m (43 ft.lbs.).
