Variable Induction Position Sensor: Description and Operation

Variable Induction Control Motor

Purpose

The sensor converts the induction control valve opening in degrees into a pulse signal which the ECM uses to calculate induction control valve
actuation.

Operation

The induction control valve position sensor receives both a 5 Volt power supply, and ground from the ECM.

A 5 Volt signal is applied from the ECM to the two output terminals of the sensor.

The sensor generates a pulse signal by opening and closing the ground circuit of the output terminals.
