Ignition Switch: Service and Repair
Refer to Technician Safety Information for Air Bag Arming and Disarming.
1. Remove steering wheel as outlined under Steering Wheel.
2. Remove upper and lower steering column covers.
3. Remove knee protector.
4. Remove column switch as outlined under Steering Column.
5. Remove ignition key illumination ring.
6. Insert ignition key into ignition lock cylinder and turn to ACC position.

7. Press lock cylinder lockpin down, Fig. 7, and remove lock cylinder.
8. Remove key reminder switch segment.
9. Disconnect and remove ignition switch assembly.
10. Reverse procedure to install.
