CAMSHAFT SPROCKET SERVICE
PURPOSE
This bulletin is concerned with the proper installation of the camshaft sprocket on certain vehicles when performing an engine repair. The camshaft
sprockets on a few 1995 Eclipses equipped with the 420A engine had two timing marks on them.
AFFECTED VEHICLES
Vehicles affected by this bulletin are certain 1995 Eclipses with 420A 2.0 liter 16-valve engines built between August 1, 1994 and October 31, 1994
bearing build date codes 057 through 148. The build date code is plainly visible on a sticker on the right rear corner of the valve cover as shown.
SYMPTOMS/CONDITIONS
An engine may be damaged by incorrect installation of the camshaft sprocket during repair.
