Hydraulic Assembly: Service and Repair
On models equipped with airbag, disarm airbag as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG SYSTEM DISARMING.
The hydraulic unit is not to be disassembled, subject to impact shocks, turned upside down or its bolts loosened.
1.
Remove the dust shield, then the engine coolant reservoir and bracket.
2.
Remove brake hose and tube connections.
3.
Remove relay box cover and connector.
4.
Remove forward bracket mounting bolts, then the bracket.
5.
Remove hydraulic unit. Torque all bolts except upper coolant reservoir bolt to 12-19 ft. lbs. and upper coolant reservoir bolt to 7-10 ft lbs.
