The new oxygen sensor has improved resistance to thermal degradation and has a white electrical connector.

You MUST use Oxygen Sensor wrench number MD998748-01.
CAUTION:
Do not use the oxygen sensor removal wrench MD998770-01 which has a split on the side.

Scan Tool (Multi-Use Tester or Multi-Use Tester - II).
Procedure
OXYGEN SENSOR REPLACEMENT
1.
Remove the key from the ignition switch and then open the hood.
2.
To make oxygen sensor removal easier, apply some penetrating oil to the exhaust manifold at the base of the OLD oxygen sensor.
3.
Disconnect the oxygen sensor connector and remove the oxygen sensor wire from the wire supports/retainers.
