Remove the 10 mm bolt securing the thermostat housing to the coolant pipe at the center of the engine block.

CAUTION

DO NOT PULL THE COOLANT PIPE OUT OF THE WATER PUMP.

Remove the intake and exhaust rocker arm and shaft assemblies. Install special tool MD998443-01 to prevent the valve lash adjusters from falling
out.

CAUTION

DO NOT USE IMPACT TOOLS.
