Variable Induction Control Solenoid: Testing and Inspection
INSPECTION
VARIABLE INTAKE AIR CONTROL SOLENOID CHECK
1. Connect a hand vacuum pump to nipple (A) of the solenoid.
2. Check air tightness by applying a vacuum with voltage applied directly from the battery to the variable intake air control solenoid and without
applying voltage.
3. Measure the resistance between the terminals of the solenoid.
Standard value: 29 - 35 ohms [at 20 degrees C (68 degrees F)]
