DASH PANEL PAD MODIFICATION SAFETY RECALL CAMPAIGN
PURPOSE
Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America, Inc. is voluntarily recalling certain 1998 Eclipse and Eclipse Spyder vehicles to correct possible interference
between the dash panel pad and the accelerator rod or throttle cable.
Follow the procedure in this bulletin to modify the dash panel pad.
AFFECTED VEHICLES
Certain 1998 Eclipse and Eclipse Spyder models produced between 7/21/97 and 1/16/98 (VIN WE001001 through WE092067)
CUSTOMER NOTIFICATION
A letter will be sent to all owners of affected vehicles. The letter instructs them to return their vehicle to their Mitsubishi dealer to have this campaign
procedure performed at no charge. A copy of this letter is shown in this bulletin.
