SUNROOF TRIM COVER LOOSE
PURPOSE
On some affected vehicles, the sunroof right side trim cover may become loose at the rear corner of the sunroof glass. The clip(s) may not be seated
properly in the bracket slot due to the trim cover design.
To eliminate this condition, this bulletin describes how to modify the sunroof right side trim cover to allow proper clip installation.
AFFECTED VEHICLES
1994-97 Galant models produced before 2/5/97
PROCEDURE
1.
Remove the sunroof right side trim cover.
2.
On the rear edge (edge without texture), use a razor to modify the edge parallel to the texturized edge as shown. Taper the edge from 3 mm to 0
mm.
3.
Ensure the clips are attached to the trim cover.

Reinstall the cover into the vehicle, ensuring both clips are firmly seated into the mounting slots.
