STEP 3. Check trunk lid latch switch connector F-21 for damage.
If the trunk lid latch switch connector F-21 is damaged, repair or replace it. Refer to Harness Connector Inspection.
The input signal from the trunk lid latch switch should be able to be checked and the theft-alarm system should be armed normally.
If the connector is in good condition, go to Step 4.
STEP 4. Check the harness wires between trunk lid latch switch connector F-21 and ground.
NOTE: For 1999 models, after checking intermediate connector F-16, check the wires. If intermediate connector F-16 is damaged, repair or replace it.
Refer to Harness Connector Inspection.
If the harness wires between trunk lid latch switch connector F-21 and ground are damaged, repair them.
The input signal from the trunk lid latch switch should be able to be checked and the theft-alarm system should be armed normally.
STEP 5. Check the trunk lid latch switch connector F-21 and ETACS-ECU connector C-81 for damage.
If the trunk lid latch switch connector F-21 and ETACS-ECU connector C-81 are damaged, repair or replace them. Refer to Harness Connector
Inspection.
