REAR SPOILER REPLACEMENT
PURPOSE
The clear coating on the rear spoiler may flake off when exposed to sunlight for extended periods of time. If a customer complains of this condition,
replace the spoiler, using the appropriate replacement spoiler listed below. Paint the spoiler as necessary to match the vehicle body color.
AFFECTED VEHICLES
2003-2005 Lancer Evolution vehicles with spoilers produced before 7/28/05 (see spoiler identification shown)
IMPORTANT
Replacement EVO-8 and EVO-9 spoilers listed in this bulletin have increased durability. EVO-9 spoiler replacement parts are slightly different in
appearance than EVO-8 model spoilers. EVO-8 customers with affected spoilers in need of replacement due to the clear coat flaking condition
should be offered to have their spoiler replaced with the more durable EVO-9 spoiler. IF THE CUSTOMER AGREES you may install the EVO-9
spoiler on affected EVO-8 models.
