^ MEDIC 3 Update at 027 or higher or MEDIC-II Download at M409 or higher <

If an affected vehicle has a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illuminated and DTCs are set in the ECM memory follow the DTC diagnostic instructions
as described in the service manual. Do not reprogram until the reason for DTC being set is corrected.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Check the underside of the hood to verify that there is no label previously installed to indicate that this campaign has already been done.

^ If a label is present and the ROM ID# on the label matches the ROM ID# below the ECU is already at the latest level. Reprogramming is not

necessary. Do not continue with this bulletin.

For MEDIC 3 users only: <

1. In the MEDIC 3 home screen under Updates check the Update, and Reflash Database numbers.

2. If your MEDIC 3 is not at Update 26 or higher and Reflash Database N11011 or higher, select Updates in the Admin screen to force a download,
bringing your machine to the latest version of MEDIC 3.

3. Continue with the REPROGRAMMING PROCEDURE below.

For MEDIC II users only:

1. Verify that MEDIC II is at Download M409 or higher by checking the bottom of the screen. <
