c. Use a 0.75 inch diameter steel pipe to press the spring case into the caliper body, then remove snap ring from caliper body using suitable snap
ring pliers, Fig. 5.
3. Reverse numbered sequence, Fig. 4 when assembling caliper, noting the following:
a. Use a 0.75 inch diameter steel pipe to press the spring case into the caliper body, then install snap ring into caliper body using suitable snap
ring pliers. Attach snap ring to caliper body with opening facing the bleeder.

b. Push piston into caliper using piston driver tool and align groove, Fig. 6.
c. When installing brake pads, pins in pad must be placed in grooves in piston.
Removal/Installation
1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel.
2. Disconnect and cap brake hose.
3. Disconnect parking brake cable.
4. Remove upper and lower guide pin then the caliper assembly.
5. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Replace bushing and pin boot.
b. Tighten sleeve bolts to specifications.
c. Bleed brake system as outlined in Brake System Bleed.
