As viewed from above, wheels must be set so distances A and B, Fig. 3, measured at wheel rims and at axle height, are different at a given value. If
distance A is smaller than distance B, setting is known as toe-in. If distance A is greater than distance B, setting is known as toe-out. toe setting is given
in inches and refers to difference between A and B. If distances A and B are same, toe setting is 0.
1. Adjust toe-in by undoing clips and turning left and right tie rod turnbuckles by same amount in opposite directions.
2. To increase toe-out, turn left turnbuckle toward front of vehicle and right turnbuckle toward rear of vehicle. To increase toe-in, turn turnbuckles in
opposite direction.
3. Toe-in is adjusted 0.48 inch for each half turn of left and right tie rods.
4. After adjusting toe-in, check that steering wheel turning angle is within specification.
