Evaporator Core: Service and Repair

1.

Disconnect battery ground cable.

2.

Discharge refrigerant from system, then disconnect evaporator inlet pipe, suction hose and drain hose.

3.

Remove O-rings, then the glove box.

4.

Remove lap heater/shower duct, cowl side trim, speaker cover, righthand knee protector and glove box frame, Fig. 19.

5.

On all models, disconnect duct joints and electrical connectors from case.

6.

Remove evaporator attaching bolts, then the evaporator.

7.

Reverse procedure to install.
