Wheel Hub: Service and Repair
Rear
1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove rear wheel and rear speed sensor.
2. Disconnect parking brake cable, then remove caliper bolts and support caliper aside without disconnecting hydraulic tube.
3. Remove brake disc or drum, hub nut cap and flange nut, then slide hub assembly and rotor off axle.
4. Reverse procedure to install, noting following:
a. Do not dismantle rear hub unit.
b. Do not allow rotor teeth to be damaged in any way; ABS malfunction will result.
c. When installing rear speed sensor, adjust clearance between pole piece and rotor teeth to 0.012-0.035 inch.
