1. Install the TPS so that it faces as shown in the illustration, and then tighten it with the screw.
2. Connect a multimeter between terminal (1) TPS power supply) and terminal (2) (TPS output) of the TPS connector, and check that the
resistance increases gradually as the throttle valve is opened slowly to the fully-open position.
3. Check the continuity between terminal (3) (closed throttle position switch) and terminal (4) (ground) of the TPS connector when the throttle
valve is fully closed and fully open.
Normal condition:
If there is no continuity when the throttle valve is fully closed, turn the TPS body counter-clockwise and then check again.
4. If there is an abnormality, replace the TPS.

NOTE:
1. The fixed SAS is correctly adjusted at the factory and should not be removed.
2. If the fixed SAS should happen to have been removed, carry out fixed SAS adjustment.
3. If the speed adjusting screw should happen to have been removed, carry out speed adjusting screw adjustment.
