CHANGED REAR TRAILING ARM TIGHTENING TORQUE
SERVICE MANUAL REVISION

PURPOSE
This bulletin information about revised tightening torque values for the rear trailing arms because of the following production changes:

Beginning with February 21, 1999 production of the 1999 model year Mirage, the control link and lower arm mounting spring washer/nut assembly
was changed to a flange nut. The torque value for this flange nut is 93 Nm (69 ft-lbs).

Beginning with February 21, 1999 production of the 1999 model year Mirage, the upper link and trailing arm connection self-locking nuts were
changed to flange nuts. The torque value for this flange nut is 93 Nm (69 ft-lbs).

Beginning with October 25, 1999 production of the 2000 model year Mirage, the material for the the trailing arm mounting bolt and its weld nut is
changed, requiring a new torque specification of 127 - 147 Nm (94 - 108 ft-lbs).
