If a battery is to be recharged overnight (16 hours), a timer-a voltage-controlled charger is recommended. If the charger does not have such controls, a 3
ampere rate should be used for batteries of 420 amperes or less and 5 amperes for batteries above 600 amperes capacity. Batteries over 600 amperes
should be charged at the specified slow charge rate in the table above.
